Big news around the shop! We’re so excited to be featured in Providence Monthly! The article, "Bloom Service" by Elyse Major, shares just some of the magic behind our little flower shop.
As quoted in the article, "If you're craving color in the dead of winter, there's nothing quite like surrounding yourself with reminders of spring in the form of beautiful flowers."Â
Blooming Blossoms, a florist and gift shop on Hope Street in Providence, is here to add that color and whimsy into your day - whatever the season.

The Woman Behind the Blooms
If you've ever popped into the shop, you've probably met the owner, Pam Maddox. She's been designing florals here for over 20 years, and her love of plants goes back further than that - all the way to third grade, when she learned how to propagate spider plants in science class and started selling them at her mom's yard sales. That early hustle never really left her, and it's a big part of why Blooming Blossoms has grown into the shop it is today.
Not Your Average Providence Flower Shop
We like to think we're a little different from your typical florist. Yes, we do beautiful floral design - but the shop also doubles as a boutique full of nature-inspired gifts, cards, candles, and home decor. If you wander in, you'll find handmade hanging terrariums made by Lauren Clark, complete with tiny faux birds and little trinkets tucked inside glass ornaments. Pam put it best: "We love all things mini with a nod to fairies here at the shop."
We're open seven days a week, so stop by any time you want a quick bouquet, a gift that feels a little more personal, or just a few minutes surrounded by green.
What's Blooming Right Now
Pam's always got an eye on what's coming into season. Back when Providence Monthly featured us, she talked about welcoming pansies and violas after the long winter, with hellebore, sweet pea, daffodils, and tulips not far behind.
In the summer, we welcome bright, vibrant colors and classic coastal blues. Hydrangea, sunflowers, strawflower, and more. No matter the season, we have a cooler full of beautiful flowers to make seasonal flower arrangements.
