The shop owner, Pam, has loved plants and flowers her entire life - it’s safe to say she knows all the tips and tricks for houseplants and has an expert eye for the best florals. 

It Started With Spider Plants

Pam Maddox's floral career didn't begin with a business plan. It began in third grade, in a science class about how to propagate spider plants. She took that lesson home, grew a lot more than a handful of them, and then sold them at her mom's yard sale. It was her first taste of turning a love of plants into something people wanted to bring home - and the interest stuck.

That early hustle carried her through a career that's now spanned decades in Providence's floral world, starting on Thayer Street before Blooming Blossoms found its home on Hope Street.

Every Bouquet Has a Story

Pam designed her first cascading wedding bouquet in 1989. Since then, she's covered arches in hydrangeas at nearly every wedding venue in Rhode Island, from Newport waterfronts to downtown Providence ballrooms - and she's still hands-on with every wedding that comes through the shop, from the first meeting to the final delivery.

That same care shows up in everything we make, not just weddings. Every arrangement that leaves our Providence flower shop is handcrafted by our small but mighty team of experienced floral designers, all of whom share Pam's connection to this community and her belief that flowers should feel personal, not generic.
